Eligibility: Just to be clear–I certainly hope anybody entering who doesn’t already subscribe to my newsletter, Sara’s Scribbles, chooses to do so here. But I will in no way, shape, or form discriminate in the drawing against anyone who doesn’t. We all get too much email–I 100% understand!!
I’d also add a “friends and family aren’t eligible” disclaimer here, but anyone like that has already been harassed to beta read for me and are likely sick of my books by now anyway! On the off chance someone who already has access to my books for free thinks they’re cute and tries to enter and I draw their name, I’ll draw another name.
Prize Delivery: I am currently in the process of removing my books from Kindle exclusive, and each book has a different expiration date. Until the date expires for each book, I can’t legally distribute free copies outside of Amazon. The details for each series are below:
If you win the Nexus prize, I’ll be sending an email with download links to each book, and each link will be labeled with the date it goes “live.” You can download each book as it becomes available, or wait to grab ’em all at the end–the links won’t expire. If you’d rather skip all that nonsense and just wait until the date all books are available (January 26th,) just let me know and I’ll email you a .zip file of everything on that day.
If you win the Olive Tree Academy prize, I’ll be sending Apprentice on December 18, the day it falls off Kindle exclusive. Between the Worlds will be sent as an Advanced Reader Copy as soon as those are available, which I’m hoping will be in March. The OTA prequel short story “Fetch” is also included in the giveaway. It’s always free to newsletter subscribers, but if you don’t subscribe or just haven’t downloaded it, you’ll have access to that immediately upon winning (or sooner, if you sign up for the newsletter, wink-wink!)

I’ll be requesting your download preferences etc. on Tuesday Dec 2nd when I email to let you know you’ve won! Books will be available as either epub or .pdf. (I can also do .mobi if you need that.)
Avoiding Duplicates: If you win one of the 2 series prizes but you already own that series, I’m happy to swap your prize for the other series! If you already own both, I can’t really do anything about that, but thanks for entering anyway, and thanks for buying all my books lol!
Duplicate Entries: I’m only allowing one entry per person. I don’t have a way of preventing repeats via my form plugin, but I’ll be eliminating duplicates before doing the drawing.
How I’ll be doing the drawing: Entries are “officially” open through Monday, but I go to bed early and there’s not really a way to set the form to automatically shut off at midnight. Plus, time zones and all. So I’ll actually be turning the form off and exporting the entries when I sit down at the computer on Tuesday morning, probably around 7 am Eastern Time. Depending on how many entries I receive and how artsy-craftsy vs. nerdy I’m feeling that morning, I’ll either print the list, cut out the names and literally draw three old-school style, or I’ll be using a D20 or two D10’s to pick from the list that way. Once I have my winners, I’ll send emails right away, so if you win, you should have an email on Tuesday morning. That email won’t be sent through my newsletter system, it’ll be direct from sa**@*************or.com–be sure to add me to your safe list! If I don’t hear back from winners within a few days I’ll email again, just in case the email didn’t go through. If I haven’t heard back from a winner by December 19th, I’ll draw a replacement name from the remaining original entries. Also, if I notify a prize winner and it turns out they didn’t expect to win and already bought all the books, I’ll draw a replacement name for that prize, as well.
