I’m having some… challenges with a webhost right now, and my real Miranda Crowe website isn’t available. So, for now, Miranda’s hanging out here on the Sara Blake website!
Miranda Crowe is the pen name I use for my suspense fiction–which, right now, is just a single book: Mercy’s Season. I use two different pen names because I don’t think a person who likes Miranda’s book would necessarily like Sara’s books and vice versa. That said, I write both, so it’s not inconceivable that some people will enjoy reading both, so since we’re temporarily bunking in together, you may as well have a look around!

Kimball Lyons is a successful novelist, proud of the life she’s built for herself. When her phone rings with a familiar area code, however, she knows the past has come to call. The controlling, abusive husband she escaped over a decade ago, Mercy Carver, is dead. In order to sort out his estate, she must return to the small West Virginia town where she suffered unspeakable horrors.
Immediately upon her arrival, she learns she still has enemies among the residents of the insular community. Hatred, judgement, and her own guilt haunt her even before she begins to see signs of more literal ghosts surrounding her.
As things escalate, Kimball is forced to face her own ghosts, both figurative and real. Will she figure out what the birds are trying to tell her in time to save not only herself, but those who’ve allied themselves with her as well?
I admit, I don’t have a lot to say on this page–Mercy’s Season is my only Miranda book to date. I have a second book in progress, but the Urban Fantasy worlds do tend to yell much louder in my head than the thrillers.
