Hello!! It’s been a busy month for me! Let’s dive right into the highlights!
I Finished a Series!

I released the last episode of The Nexus Season One: Unseen World, The Nexus, on September 5th, and that COMPLETES the season!
There’s going to be a Season Two, but each season of the Nexus is essentially a series unto itself and I finished one! It’s such a rush, finishing a series for the first time!
Newsletter Relaunch
I started my new newsletter, Sara’s Scribbles, this month. It’s ironic, in a way. For a long time, I wanted to do an author newsletter formatted like a newspaper and call it the Barrow City Gazette, in honor of my fictional city. I finally did it a couple of years ago and then, almost immediately, I got the idea for The Nexus and added a second fictional city to the mix. I couldn’t very well call my newsletter the Barrow City Gazette then fill it full of Arcanum news (mind you, I tried for a bit, but it was awkward and stupid.)
When I decided it was time to get back on top of things and start sending regular emails again, I needed a new name. It took a lot of time for the perfect name to come, but it did. If you haven’t subscribed to Sara’s Scribbles yet, why not?
ARC Team
I also laid the groundwork this month for a new ARC Team—a way for readers to sign up to access both pre-release Advance Reader Copies of my books as well as Review Copies of already-published books for free. The hope is those readers will review said free books, but you’re not committed to do a review in exchange for receiving the book.
If this sounds like something you want in on, then register for an account here at the website then fill out the short ARC Team application!

New Blog Schedule
I also created a new blog schedule for myself, along with general themes for posts, that I’ve started this month. The plan/goal is to get a post up every Friday. The last Friday of every month (this post!) will be pretty much just like this one: a general wrap-up of the month. They probably won’t all be quite this long or busy!
The rest of the month will follow a different general theme each Friday: Myth & Magick, Worldbuilding, and Writing Process. Months with a fifth Friday will be wild-card weeks (I call them “unicorn” weeks) where I just pick a random topic I feel like talking about.
Miranda Crowe
And finally, I’ve been having all kinds of problems with my old webhost, who is currently holding several of my domains hostage in an attempt to force me to keep paying them for hosting I don’t want or need. I already had this website set up with my new host, with the old sara-blake.com domain redirected here, so I haven’t had any real problems with this name.
My other pen name, Miranda Crowe, however, hasn’t been so lucky. That other site has both of my Miranda domains in their clutches for now. I haven’t been overly concerned, since I only have one Miranda book and it’s quite a few years old, but I still sell an occasional, surprise copy of it here and there. One of those sales this month made me decide it was time to give Miranda some love, too, so I’ve set up a little sub-page for her here at sarablakeauthor.com.
I keep the two names separate because they’re very different, genre-wise, but if you’re curious, check out Miranda’s new page! Mercy’s Season is supernatural suspense, nothing like the Urban Fantasy stuff I write under Sara Blake, but if you like suspense or domestic thrillers, then maybe give it a try!
That’s It for Now!
Quite the action-packed month! Things will slow down for me, a little, in the coming months as my day job hits its busy season and I have less time for other things. But, even so, I have plenty of projects in the works, and I’m going to keep up with this blog, too!
Next scheduled post will be October 3rd, under the “Worldbuilding” topic. See you then!
