If you haven’t checked out The Nexus before, it’s quite different from the Olive Tree Academy series. It’s set in a completely different world, another fictional city of my own creation called Arcanum. The Nexus has a different tone than OTA, too. I once described it as “Fantasy with a Sci Fi feel” to a friend, and they very much agreed with that.
Most notably, though, The Nexus aren’t big long novels like OTA. Instead, they’re novella-length episodes. Note that I’m using the word “episode” here they way a TV series does–these are not partial/incomplete chunks of a larger story, the way many use the word “episode” in fiction. Each Nexus episode has a full plot arc of its own, but they also contribute to a larger, season-wide story arc as well.
Episode One, Arcanum City Secrets, is really more of a longish short story, but the rest are novellas of varying length. (Book Nine, The Nexus, actually gets pretty close to the magical line that would cross over into “novel” territory, but not quite!)
